Moving UP in the scrapping world!

Ten years ago when I first started scrapping , Cricuts, Silhouettes and all these other electronic machines where not even heard of in MY world of scrapping!  You did everything the old fashion way....cutting and pasting !  You were lucky if you could afford to buy the Jolees embellishments and boy did I hoard them!

Last fall at my first crop when I started back to scrapping again after my cancer and car accident , I won my first Cricut!  I thought I was in Scrapping HEAVEN!  (maybe hell at first learning it all)  That was IT !  I was addicted to the 21str century way of scrapping!   In just those few months I have become not only addicted to the cricut but SVG's and now just recieved my first Silhouette Cameo in the mail!

In the mean time my husband has come accustom to losing me to watching movies with him to scrapping to all hours of the night and decided to make our youngest daughters old bedroom my very own "crap room" as he calls it!  Just this past week it is finished!  Just the way I like it!  Room for a friend or two to visit and scrap if they like and get our "scrap on"!  There is still piles of embellishments on the floor to organize and put away but one day it will totally be done.  I will post pictures and you decide if you like it!

For now...

Happy scrapping and may your Scrapping be for Tranquility!

Why I started to scrap again.

Five years ago , I was hit head on in a terrible car accident .  I have gone through some major surgeries that have left me in terrible chronic pain and to be quite honest, sever depression.  I am now disabled.  Along with other things I fight in my daily life since childhood, PTSD, ADHD, severe migraines , Anxiety disorder  along with the chronic pain and depression I felt like I was drowning and hitting rock bottom.  If I didn't find something to do with my days beside sit in my chair I was going to die, literally.   In October of 2012 my youngest daughter moved out and I felt I had really had nothing left or no meaning to my life so I had to do something.

One day in Late october I was surfing the web and found an ad for a scrapbooking crop here locally that I became REAL excited about for I had not scrapped in over 10 years!  I had stopped to fight breast cancer and ovarian and basically to raise my kids and just never went back to it.  I thought, This is my chance to do something I love and give back to my kids.

My oldest daughter  said she would go with me since I also have agoraphobia and was deathly afraid of going to the crop alone , especially since at that point in my life it had been over a year, if not two, since I had left my house to go ANYWHERE besides a doctor appointment.   Needless to say I had a BLAST!!!!! I won my first cricut there and scrapping has become my addiction!

I am now into SVG's and you can not stop me!  I love them!  I hope everyone will follow along on my journey as I try to hone in on my skills and get better.

This is my life and I scrap for the ease of my pain and I SCRAP FOR TRANQUILITY!
