Mourner's Hat

Good Morning!  It is a beautiful Monday morning here and I wanted to share a Halloween project with you.  I choose the unique Mourner's hat in the JGW Raven Quest  at SVG Attic.  It is my first project with them as Guest Design Team Member.
I am always looking for unique Halloween decorations for Halloween.  It is my youngest daughter's favorite holiday.  She even got married on Halloween 2 years ago and collects many beautiful pieces to keep up all year round.  I thought this was something she could add to her collection.

Here are some close ups of the Flowers which are made by Prima.  I just fell in love with these flowers when I found them and they have been in my stash FOREVER and was saving them for that special project.  Well....this was that project.
Next came the bling!  Every project isn't complete without a little bit of bling!  This is Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby.
Last by not least I made the bow but added Mays art Black Ribbon to the center and around the brim of the hat.  I also added  a beautiful full purple feather and a small turquoise with black feather for that small touch of extra color.
I hope you have enjoyed my mourner's hat as much  I did making it .  Have a wonderful Sunday and a BEAUTIFUL week!

Blessings!

Happy Birthday To You!

Good Afternoon My Bloggy friends!  I am stopping in today show you a card I made for a dear friend's birthday coming up.  Until then , the crafter in me is of course going to enter it in a couple of challenges!  (teehee!)

First the Challenge at Pink and Main.  While I am in desperate need of their beautiful stamps and am IMPATIENTLY waiting for my first order, I decided to go ahead and enter a challenge anyhow.  It is a birthday challenge so this went perfect.  I used a birthday stamp I already owned from Hobby Lobby , Flowers are Prima , last but not least brings me to my papers.  That brings me to my last challenge,  Stack-a-holic United at DCWV.  All my papers are from the stack  Lemon Flower and the Summer Cardstock stack.

Thank you for having me in my first challenges at these places and thank you for joining me!

Old Fashion Scrapping!

We went on a beautiful vacation this summer which was long time coming.  To be able to do this we had to drive.    My husband and I have took our 7 year old grandson so he could experience the natural wonders and beautiful parks of the USA!  We covered 14 states in 10 days.  Starting here in Indiana and going down to The Grand Canyon and ending the biggest part at Mount Rushmore.    It was such a beautiful time!  A lot of traveling but soooo much fun!

My problem now is to figure out how to scrap all these pictures.  I have at LEAST 300 or more pictures.  As you all know my go to scrapping is Paper piecing.  I decided my heart was into putting these beautiful  photos  back to my roots and my heart to old fashion scrapping.  I hope you enjoy this layout and the ones that come as I just do some OLD FASHION SCRAPPING in the days to come.

Our first major stop along the way was Winslow , AZ.  I am a huge Eagles fan and I had to "stand on the corner of Winslow, AZ.  " , On ol' Route 66.

I look forward to talking to you all the next time!  Happy Scrapping!

Blessings!
