NSD-Connie Can Crop

Hello!  Yesterday was National Scrapbook Day and I hope you had some time to fit in some scrapping.  I tried to get in a bit but it was hard to stay on one site since there was soooo many celebrations going on in the virtual scrapbooking world!  I settled on Connie Can Crop since she is one of my favorites!

Connie posted some fun games and even a few sketch challenges and here is the one I am entering .  Here is the Sketch:

The Challenge was called "You are my Sunshine".  You needed to use the sketch for inspiration or follow it exactly if you wanted but use a Sun as your main focal point.  Here is what I came up with:

I know you really don't think of Christmas and sunshine a lot but when I think of "You Are My Sunshine"  I think of my grandchildren!   These first Christmas pictures of Lestat make me smile and how couldn't they?  He truly was my Christmas Sunshine!

I used AC Cardstock for the solids and Then the Solstice Christmas Stack by DCWV for the Snowflakes.  The twine is of course always from Trendy Twine it is the Berry Trendy Twine.  I wouldn't use any other Twine on any of my projects!

I hope you enjoy my project for Connie Can Crop NSD Challenge and please leave me a message and let me know what you think!

Blessings,

Cutting Cafe-Pinwheel Birthday Card

Hello Scrapping For Tranquility and Cutting Cafe Fans!  Today I wanted to share with you this ADORABLE file from The Cutting Cafe.  It is called the PINWHEEL TREAT CUP TEMPLATE AND CUTTING FILE.  There is soooo many uses and things you can make with this file but here is what I decided to do with it:

I am running low on birthday cards in my stash so I decided on a birthday card.  I can not take full credit for it though for I found a similar card on Pinterest.  I want to give credit to the artist but my grandson hit my keyboard and cleared the screen and I could never re-find it.  So if anyone does find a similar card and CAN give me the artist and link please do .  I like to always give credit where credit is due.
Anyhow, I used all AC cardstock along with AC double sided printed cardstock.  I loved the summery colors of this print.  I then used The Cutting Cafe's MASON JAR SHAPED CARD TEMPLATE AND CUTTING FILE to cut the jar .  I used Pink and mains Pretty Princess Happy Birthday stamp for the sentiment and Pink and Main's  Stitched Greeting Dies for the banner.  For the embossing I used a  Cuttlebug 5X7 flower embossing folder.

Thank you for joining me today and I will see you again on the 21st for another Cutting Cafe post!

Blessings!

GDT Papercrafting World!

Hello Papercrafting World & Scrapping For Tranquility Fans!  I am super excited that Melinda  From PaperCrafting World chose me to Guest Design this month!  For my first post I chose this ADORABLE file called Heartbreaker QTP Boy LO Set.  When I first laid eyes on it I knew it would fit my grandson, Lestat's 9 month photos!  So here is what I made:

I started with AC Cardstock and then pulled out a stack by Paper Studio called Boys Will Be Boys.  I used that to layer .  All my piecings and solid cardstock are made with AC cardstock.    I sized the Piecing down to 4 and 1/2 inches tall in Scal Pro 4 and used my Cameo to cut them out.  I inked and chalked my pieces, glued them together and laid them on my layout where I wanted them.  Glued everything down and I was done.  Very fast and easy layout.

I hope you enjoyed my first Guest piece for PaperCrafting World and I will see you later in the month!  Leave me a comment, I will be happy to respond to you!

Blessings,
