Gerda Steiner's Lovely Panda's-Valentine's Card

Good Evening!  Stopping in to share a card I made my husband for Valentine's Day this year.

I started with the base from this easel card from My Scrap Chick called the Birds & Garden Gate Easel Card.  I changed a lot of things.  Taking away the birds, the colors and the gate didn't open.  But I made all that happen.

Then taking the Lovely Panda's Set from Gerder Steiner Stamps,  I did this:

Using Red , Black, White and Green AC Cardstock, I made the Easel card base .  I took the adorable peeking Panda from the lovely stamps set, glued him to the front right of the fence as if he is peeking around the fence.

Using Annie's Paper Boutique's , You've Got Mail Stamp Set, I used the "Special Delivery" on a sign for the fence and "Your Going to Love this," for the main sentiment.

Gently fussy cutting the right side of the fence between the panda and the fence post, I made it where the fence would open.  I creased the left hand side of the fence so it would "hinge".

As you open the card , You will find the large panda from the Lovely Panda's Stamp set and the bunch of hearts!  How cute are they?

Now you will see this adorable sentiment by, Art ImpressionsValentines Bears Set saying, "Paws-ing to say Happy Valentine's Day!".
Now isn't this just too precious?????

I loved how this card turned out!
Better yet my husband loved it too!

Hope your Valentine's day was Super Great!

You are Magical-GDT for Miss Kate Cuttables

Happy New Year Miss Kate Fans !  Christi from Scrapping For Tranquility  starting the 2019 Guest Designers off this year.  What an honor to be joining Miss Kate's Guest Design Team for the 3rd year in a row!  I want to take just a second to say to her, Thank you soooo much for gifting me with this honor!  I have really enjoyed the last 3 years and hope to see 3 more!

On to my project,

I am a little behind on my scrapbooking.  This is my 24 year old's newborn pictures when she was in the neonatal intensive care unit for being a preemie.  When I found these piecings of the gorgeous Sparkle Unicorn, Unicorn Head and Unicorn the title of "You Are Magical",  I knew Just what I wanted to do.

She was sooo tiny and had no fat on her she looked like a little Gremlin.  These photos, they had finally taken her off all the tubes and such and to me this was just "Magical".  Hence the title!

The fantasy of the gorgeous unicorns and the beautiful stars was just how I was feeling at that moment.

Sparkle Unicorn
I used a white, lightly glittered cardstock for the the white and all the other cardstock was American Crafts textured cardstock.

The pattern cardstock I used is Doodlebug's Fairy Tale Line.

Unicorn Head

I used the Unicorn Head on the banners to give it extra dimension and to even the layout out.

Unicorn

To finish the layout  I put the Unicorn rearing up on the second page and called it finished.

I really was pleased how this newborn layout came out.  Leave me a comment and let me know what you think!

Blessing!

The Cutting Cafe -Lip Balm Holder

Hello Scrapping For Tranquility and Cutting Cafe Fans!  I hope you are having a very fun and blessed Cinco De' Mayo today!  It is my youngest daughter's, Larrisa's, birthday.  She turns 24 today.  Man, do I feel old!  lol  Anyhow, I want to share a special surprise I have for Larrisa not for her birthday but for her baby shower coming up in July.
Larrisa is having her 2nd and last baby boy in August and her shower is July 28th.  I wanted to make a thank you gift for everyone that is coming so when Regina asked us to make the lip balm holder this week I couldn't pass this up for my project.
Here it comes...don't forget to let me know what you think in the comment afterwards!

I used the Lip Balm/Chapstick Holder from The Cutting Cafe.  There are several designs of this holder and I used the SCALLOP EDGE WITH A  PRE-PRINTED WRAP That Regina Easter made just for me when I told her my idea.

I used all American Crafts Cardstock from 12 X 12 Cardstock Shop.  My rattle SVG is from Little Scraps of Heaven and my Block SVG with my soon to be Grandson's initials are from Cuttable Designs.  I then used a ribbon from my stash and tied a bow and I called it done.

I hope you really like my baby shower giveaways.  I have made quite a few of the 30 I have to make.  Then on to the next decoration  I been told to make!  HAHAHA!

Blessings,

Hi Folks! Christi from Scrapping For Tranquility I was Lucky enough to be April Guest Designer for Miss Kate's Cuttables!  I made her Guest Design Team in 2017 and Was VERY excited to make 2018 again!   I just LOVE her files!

Anyhow, this year I choose to do a layout using the following files, Beach Pail and BallBeach Bum Title and Summer Set.   I have the most adorable 2 year old grandson , Lestat that was playing in his backyard pool last summer. (yes I am a little prejudice!  LOL)  I had some of the most cute pictures I just had to scrap .  I thought these files fit my layout well .  What do you think?

This is the completed layout.  Now you have to agree he is cute???  hahaha.

I used AC Cardstock for all my solids and the Water paper was Paper Studio from Hobby Lobby.

Here is some close up of my paper piecings.  This is the Beach Bum Title and the glasses from the Summer Set.

Cutting Cafe-April 7th- Notepad

It is that time again!  Time for my  The Cutting Cafe post  for the first part of the month.  I missed last month for being ill.  I am back and I can tell you I really missed these challenges!

Regina, challenged us to take a shaped card this month and turn it into a notepad.  This is what I choose and what I did  and I hope you like it....

I used the Fish Shaker Card.  I kept it as a shaker card part for I really liked it as a shaker .

I used Under The Sea Collection by Doodle Bug Designs for the pattern Cardstock and AC Cardstock for the solids.  I then used Printer paper as my Notebook paper for inside.  My adhesive was Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L, E-Z Runner Grand.

Thanks for stopping by and please leave me a comment on what you think!

My Scrap Chick- Camera Gift Box

Where has this week gone?  I can't believe it is Thursday already!
Today I want to share a My Scrap Chick project I did and fell in total love with!  It is the camera gift box from the Camera Trio Collection.

It was sooo fun to decide how to make and what to use on it.

First I used the This & That Collection from Echo Park for  all the Card stock.  I wanted a vintage camera feel and this seemed to have it.

I Used AC Cardstock for any Solid Cardstock on it.  Then I decided to add a Camera Strap.  I had gotten this wonderful wide ribbon from my Secret Sister for Christmas and it is from Stamping up.  (I can't remember the name I am sorry)  I thought it was PERFECT for a camera strap.  I attached it with a round paper clip and E6000 Glue.

Then wanting to add a Button I found a wooden button and took a copic marker and colored it to match my cardstock .  Then taking a enamel dot to top it off. Of Course If you know me and most of my projects , You know I have to add Trendy Twine!  So to make it match I added some beautiful Chocolate Truffle Trendy Twine  around the lens and also made a cute little bow for behind the Prima Flowers I added to the lens to top it off.

I Hope you enjoy my Camera as much as I did making it.  Please leave me a message and let me know what you think!

Blessings,

My Scrap Chick-Cross Gift Box

Good Afternoon!  I wanted to share this beautiful file from My Scrap Chick.  With Easter approaching I thought it was the perfect file to share.

Without further ado :

This is the Cross Gift Box.  Is it not just Gorgeous?????    I just loved it!

First , I used wood grain card stock from Photoplay's  "This Guy's " collection for the base , top , bottom inside and top inside.  I then wanted scripture for the outside back and top.  I couldn't find any in my stash stash!  Can you believe it!?!?  The nearest store that carries card stock is over 45 minutes away so when all else fails,  look up free scrapbook paper online and I furthered my search to bible pages.  Whala!  I printed it on a 8 1/2  by 11 piece of textured cream cardstock by AC  to have that aged look.

(Side view)

I inked all my pieces with Prima Chalk edgers, made the gorgeous lily that comes with the file X3 and water colored the inside yellow, orange and red to give the look I wanted.  Added the bow made from some vintage lace I inherited from my great aunt , added some faux pearls and called it done.

I really hope you enjoy this beautiful cross box as much as I do.  Leave me a message and let me know what you think!

Hope you have a blessed Easter!
