Happy Birthday Lesley!

I was sooo honored when I was asked to join in the fun of  celebrating Lesley's Birthday card surprise again this year!

I can not say enough wonderful things about this sweet , beautiful, loving, kind-hearted, lady! (that was just a few! LOL)  Lesley is not just the owner of my all time FAVORITE twine company,  (Trendy Twine of Course!) but I consider her a very good friend !

Lesley loves all things Hello Kitty, and all things Disney so I racked my brain for something alike and without further ado, here is what I came up with:

I started out with all American Crafts Cardstock and my pattern paper is a 6 X 6 Echo Park Pad Called Let's be Mermaids.

My Little Boo and door SVG is from Scrappy Dew , my Sully is from a Facebook SVG group and My Mike/Hello Kitty is from Krafty Nook.

This guy is on the inside top of the card opposite of the door and was also from Scrappydew.  The cupcake is from Svgcuts.com  I wanted play on the words of Boo calling Sully Kitty as she does in the Monster, Inc. Movie and Mike/Hello Kitty getting frustrated like DUH!  I am the kitty!  Getting that across in a card wasn't that easy but I hope I pulled it off.  Using My Favorite Twine , Of course,  I used the Grape Limeaide Trendy Twine to highlight my speech bubbles.

To Finish my card I stamped this Happy Birthday from the  Julie Nutting  Party Girl Stamp Set.  It originally said Happy Birthday to you!  I masked off the "to You" and Inked up just the Happy Birthday and stamped just that on.  I loved how it came out.

Here is what I used from Annie's Paper Boutique

Thank you for joining me in Wishing this VERY Special lady a Very Happy Birthday!

Happy Birthday Lesley!  Hope you have MANY, MANY MORE!

Lots of Love and Friendship,

First Day Of Autumn with Bo Bunny Dreams of Autumn

Hi Folks!   I am honored to be the Guest Designer for fotobella.com this month!

Today is a real special day for it is the first day of Autumn!  When you think of Autumn you think of cooler days, hooded sweatshirts, Halloween, leaves and I think of ......

yes, pine cones and acorns falling from the trees! So that is what I decided to make for you today!

First I made the acorn

I cut the pieces from my Silhouette Cameo 3 out of the svg from My Scrap Chick called acorn box.  I used Brown Solid Core Cardstock to take the shape of the acorn.  Then using Bo Bunny Dreams of Autumn-Sweater Weather, I made the panels  to go over the acorn "shell".

If you have not noticed, this is a gift box!

For the lid, I used the opposite side of Bo Bunny Dreams of Autumn-Foxes.  The orange was a perfect coordinating match with the orange dots on the panels.  That is what I love about this Bo Bunny Collection.  It all coordinates so well together.  Taking some fibers I had in my stash, I wrapped it around the base of the lid and then created a triple bow with it.  I really liked the way that looked since all the same colors where in the fibers.  To top it all off, I added 3 small dots of Ranger Stickles-Copper to the stem of the acorn to give it a little bling.  I am truly pleased how it came out!

On to the next!

The pine cone was not as easy but so much you can do with this!  Again, it was an SVG from My Scrap Chick , and it is called the Pine cone box. I used brown solid core cardstock for the base of the pine cone.  Then using Bo Bunny Dreams of Autumn Double Dot Collection-Chocolate Vintage and the brown solid core cardstock, I rotated between the two, rolling the tips of the cardstock to create the pine cone effect.

Again, if you had not noticed

this is also a small gift box or a small hiding place for your goodies!  To finish my project off, I again rotated every other piece and added some bling with some Ranger Stickles-Champagne color.  It gave it just the right amount of sparkle!  If it was winter you could add white to the tips for snow and it would look really nice also for pine cones with snow on them for another effect.

I hope you enjoyed my post and I hope you have a very happy first day of Autumn!

Leave me a comment and let me know what you think!

Stamperia/Ranger Pillar Candle Sticks /September Guest Designer for Fotobella.com

Hello!  Here with my 3rd post, as Fotobella.com's  Guest Designer for September .

When I received my GDT box I received a Wood Effect Stencil by Stamperia, a Lucky Clover Ranger Distress Spray Stain and some Brown Prima Wire Thread.  These were three items I kept thinking,  What the heck am I going to do with these?  I kept racking my brain and here is what I came up with!  Enjoy!

SUPPLIES:

Picket Fence Distress Spray Stain

Tools:

Cutting Machine of your Choice along
with SVG file  to cut the pieces

Pallet Knife

Heat Gun

Quilling tool and/or pencil

Cut all your Pillar Pieces for the pillar on your cutting machine of choice.  I bought this particular file from My Scrap Chick.

Place the Stamperia Wood effect Stencil on the Brown Cardstock panels for the pillars.
Apply the Texture Paste with the pallet knives.

Gently pull from one corner of the stencil up and off the cardstock to reveal what the texture paste  left on the cardstock

Using your heat gun, dry the texture past and watch it raise a bit to give you the “texture”.

Using a box for a “spray room” to catch your  over spray,  lay your panels in the box.  Lightly spray Ranger Distress Spray Stain, Lucky Clover.

Again, using your heat gun, dry the distress stain until completely dry.

Once your Ranger Distress Spray Stain, Lucky Clover is completely dry, it is time to lay the  panels out in your spray box to put a spray layer of Rangers  Distress Spray Stain, Picket Fence.

Taking the heat gun, completely dry the Picket fence layer.
Once it is dry, determine if you need another layer of picket fence.  If you do, repeat steps 8 & 9.

Repeat all steps above on the top and bottom of the pillar and then fold on perforated lines.

Glue the top and bottom parts to form the “box–like “ forms.

Glue the base of the pillar together

Glue the wood panels that you textured and stained onto the base of the pillar.

Placing glue on the tabs on the bottom of the pillar, place the pillar into the bottom square you made.

Placing glue on the top tabs of the pillar, place the top square you built onto the pillar.

Using Prima Wire Thread, bend it around the pillar for a “3 D VINE effect” around your “tree”.

Finally, adding leaves from the Bo Bunny Foliage Laser Cut Chipboard .I top it off with taking my quilling tool and wrapping the Brown Wire Thread by Prima around it to make it look more like curled vine.

Let's
take a look at the the finished products:

I added battery operated candles from Dollar tree.

Here is they are in the light:

I REALLY love the way this project came out.  Let me know what you think by leaving me a comment below!

Blessings,

BoBunny Dreams Of Autumn Collection-Fall Letters Decor

Hello!Excited to be here this month to show you my second post  as Guest Designer for Fotobella.com.  Today I am showcasing this beautiful BoBunny Dreams Of Autumn Collection!

For My Project I made  FALL LETTER HOME DECOR.  I began with cutting the 3D letters out from My Scrap Chick on my Silhouette Cameo 3 , using Solid Core Cardstock in a gold/orange color.

Using Rangers Carved Pumpkin Distress Ink, I inked all the edges of my letters of my Solid Core Cardstock and decided what pattern cardstock I wanted to use.  Using  1/8 inch Double Sided Scor TapeI taped my letters together, choosing to alternate the BoBunny Dreams of Autumn Bonus Bundle / Foxes and the BoBunny Dreams of Autumn / Breathtaking on every other letter.

Wanting to Bling the Decor up , I decided to add the Prima Amber Moon/Scarlett Leaves with flowers from the Prima Amber Moon/Bramble Collection and the Prima Amber Moon /Willow Collection.  Taking the pearls that the flowers had in the middle, I used heat set studs and set those in the center of the flowers.

To finish off the flowers and the whole decor, I again wanted just to add that final extra bling.  This is when I decided it needed the Rangers Stickle Glitter Glue / Champagne.  I added this to the tips of all the flowers and I think it added that little extra VA-VOOM it really needed.  What do you think?  Let me know in the comments below!  I would love to hear your opinions and comments!

Have a blessed day and until next time,

The Cutting Cafe -Lip Balm Holder

Hello Scrapping For Tranquility and Cutting Cafe Fans!  I hope you are having a very fun and blessed Cinco De' Mayo today!  It is my youngest daughter's, Larrisa's, birthday.  She turns 24 today.  Man, do I feel old!  lol  Anyhow, I want to share a special surprise I have for Larrisa not for her birthday but for her baby shower coming up in July.
Larrisa is having her 2nd and last baby boy in August and her shower is July 28th.  I wanted to make a thank you gift for everyone that is coming so when Regina asked us to make the lip balm holder this week I couldn't pass this up for my project.
Here it comes...don't forget to let me know what you think in the comment afterwards!

I used the Lip Balm/Chapstick Holder from The Cutting Cafe.  There are several designs of this holder and I used the SCALLOP EDGE WITH A  PRE-PRINTED WRAP That Regina Easter made just for me when I told her my idea.

I used all American Crafts Cardstock from 12 X 12 Cardstock Shop.  My rattle SVG is from Little Scraps of Heaven and my Block SVG with my soon to be Grandson's initials are from Cuttable Designs.  I then used a ribbon from my stash and tied a bow and I called it done.

I hope you really like my baby shower giveaways.  I have made quite a few of the 30 I have to make.  Then on to the next decoration  I been told to make!  HAHAHA!

Blessings,
