White Rose Crafts-February #2-Valentine's Card with Play

Good Morning White Rose Fans!  This morning I want to share another Valentine's card I made for my teenage grandson.  I hope he will like it and maybe give you some inspiration.

I used Asuka Studio 6 X 6 Paperpad/ Play  This is such a fun paper pad and has quite a few different masculine sheets in it.  This one seemed to fit my grandson perfect:  video games, computers, food and drink.  What more does a teenager want?  lol

I then made a cheeseburger and a drink on my Cameo 3 and my title.  I added some Enamel Dots and called it a day.

It was a quick and easy Valentine's for I have a lot of grandchildren to make for but that is what I like about these 6 X 6 pads.

Do you make a lot of  Valentine's cards?  Leave me a message and let me know.

White Rose Crafts February #1-Steampunk Valentine's Card

Good Friday Morning!  I wanted to share a Valentine's card I made for my husband.  He likes Steampunk style so I thought I would try my hand at it a bit.

White Rose Crafts makes it really easy whether you do cute , fancy or steampunk.  They carry just about anything to make your paper crafting easy.

Here is the card I made.  I started off with solid black and Kraft Cardstock then added Victoriana 6 X 6 Collection by 13 @rts.  This is a GORGEOUS collection and made just for those steampunk cards.

Then I used the Chipboard Embellishment Heart like last week but I didn't paint it.  Taking some cogs and gears I filled the heart and painted some of the centers with a touch of red.

Stamping my sentiment from a stamp set in my stash onto Kraft paper.  I called it done.

I hope you enjoy it.  It was a fun and easy card to make.

Let me know what you think!

White Rose Crafts # 3-I Love you Tons!

Good Morning!  I wanted to step out of my box and do something a little different for my White Rose Crafts DT Project.

I try to make all 6 of my grandchildren Valentine's cards each year and my 7 year old granddaughter is a little eccentric . I decided to use non- traditional Valentine colors.

Using the Love You Tons stamp set by Lawn Fawn and the Love You Tons Die Set by Lawn Fawn, I colored them with my Copics.

Then using the 6 X 6 Paper pad Spring Fling, by Lawn Fawn, I used the colors Gray, green and yellow.

What is a Valentine without a heart?  I then took the Creative Embellishments Laser-cut Chipboard: Hearts and took some green acrylic paint and painted it to match.  Once dry, I added it to a die cut heart and glued it down.

Adding some ribbon and gems I had in my stash I called it done.

Leave me a comment and let me know what you think.

White Rose DT Project-My Precious Boy #1

Good Friday Morning!  I hope this finds everyone staying warm!  It is very cold here and we have a lot of Lake effect snow since I live right off Lake Michigan.
I wanted to share my White Rose Crafts Dt Project with you today.

I started with the beautiful collection from Craft O' ClockMy Precious-Boy #1.  This piece of cardstock just stood out to me.  I really just loved it!  It really highlighted this photo of my grandson, learning to walk and looking out the door at his first sight of a snowfall.
To make my layout sparkle like snow I used the glitter Aqua from the Peacock Feathers Collection by Nuvo.

I used the title page from the paper pack, that had that nice wood look on the back, and used it to frame my picture along with a yellow piece of American Crafts piece of Cardstock.

Using Aqua Flowers from my stash and Coconut Paper Blooms from Kaisercraft, for my flowers and taking some wood veneer snowflakes I used Simply White Nuvo Drops to cover them in white, let them dry and added them to my photo.

Adding some old lace, I had from my stash, at the bottom of my photo, and an acrylic title "Heaven Sent" with brads, I called it finished.

Let Me know what you think by leaving me a comment below.  I love hearing from you!  I will answer you back.

Have a beautiful Weekend!

Good Morning! Today is my first post as a a Design Team member here at  White Rose Crafting . I want you to say, Kay and the other ladies TRULY are like family! If you ever were on the fence about a small business, this is the one you want to go with. Ok , Back to my post.....

For my layout of my grandson, Lachlan, I chose the darling paper pack, Sweet Prince by Craft O' Clock.

I loved the design on the paper so much I copied the banners and balloon made SVG's to match then used mini pop dots to pop them off the page.

Then again using my Cameo, I made my title and popped it up and called it done.

This collection is so darn cute there really isn't much you have to do to make your project stand out. I love it!

My supplies used not mentioned was AC and Bazzill Cardstock.

Leave me a message and let me know what you think!

Birthday Card

Hello Scrapping For Tranquility Friends!  Stopping in to share a birthday card I made from a Sketch over at My Favorites Things Wednesday Challenge.

Here is the Sketch:

As soon as I saw the circles I immediately thought of my balloon cardstock from Carta Bella's Circus Party and twine from Trendy Twine.

I can always use birthday cards so it was a no brainer to me to make an adorable balloon card out of the circles.

I made my base then out of the Circus Party Cardstock, I used my Silhouette Cameo 3, to cut my circles, where I wanted them.

On my base, I used Distress Oxide Inks to ink blend my balloons in Barn Red, Peacock Blue and Fossilized Amber.

Applying the Balloon Cardstock over the blended Distress Oxide Colors,  they were really started to look like balloons.

Using the Trendy Twine, I made strings from each balloon to make it seem as they are floating up from the bottom of the card.

Using Sunny Studios, Floating By Stamp Set, I stamped the sentiment on a piece of  white cardstock in yellow.  After heat embossing it with a yellow embossing powder by Wow, I choose my sentiment for the inside.  I choose a fun but simple Happy Birthday from Sugar Pea Designs, JukeBox Jive Stamp Set.

This is where I was very pleased with my finished card!

I hope you enjoy it and stop over at MFT's Challenges.  They are a bunch of fun!

Blessings,

Same Set Syndrome Create and Inkspire

Good Afternoon! If you are arriving from Jennifer's Youtube then you are in the right place!  Thank you for stopping by Scrapping For Tranquility where we are celebrating another small business this month!  We are introducing you to the new, online magazine and card kits by Create and Inkspire !

I am in a wonderful hop group and we are doing a 6 month collaboration called #SameSetSyndrome where every month we highlight small, independently owned stamp companies each month.  We as a group, want to introduce you to these companies that you may have never heard of or heard of but, when you went to buy, they were not the first to come to mind.  We would like these wonderful companies TO BE THE ONES THAT COME TO MIND! Everyone in the hop get's a chance to work with a kit from the company for the month, one stamp set or possibly 2 stamp sets. Hence "same set syndrome".

Is there blog candy?  Of course there is!  You must visit, follow, leave a comment and watch all videos on all the hop's participants.  There will be one name per participant that will be chosen by random to be chosen for a $50.00 Gift Certificate, of your choice at the end of the 6 month collaboration. This winner will be announce  on December 10th on Allison Kulka's You Tube Page.  ALSO, this month  One random commentator from each hop stop will be put into a drawing and one out of those names will be drawn for this months prize of a Create and Inkspire Card kit! Good Luck!

There wasn't much I DIDN'T like about this kit.  (actually there wasn't anything I didn't like!)  LOL.    I loved the sentiment "Friends bring color to your world " and decided to work off that.

What did I think of when I thought of that sentiment?  I thought of what my world looked like if my world didn't have color a.k.a. friends.  It would be pretty black and white huh? That is where I decided to start with making my card with my sentiment.  Taking White and Black American Crafts Cardstock from 12 X 12 Cardstock Shop, I made my base at 5" X 7".
Then making a card front at 4.75" X 6.75", I took an embossing folder by Darice called Argyle  and embossed my card front.
Using my cameo 3, I made 3 scalloped squares at 2 inches. For my flowers , I wanted to watercolor them so I used watercolor paper and cut them at 1.75 " X 1.75 ".  Put them in my Misti and stamped the three flower stamps from the July kit.

Using Nuvo Watercolor pencils I colored my images, topping the center off with Nuvo Crystal drops-Gloss in Carnation Pink. Set them aside to dry.

Cutting a diamond shape from my cameo 3, I stamped the Friends sentiment on the diamond and then inked my edges with Catherine Poolers's Ink, Rose Petals  that I purchased from  Del Bello's Designs.

All I had left was assembly, Putting my flowers on the scalloped black squares and lining them up on my card front,  I used Pink Gingham ribbon to tie around the card front, then glued down my card front on to the base.  Gluing down my sentiment on my card front, I was finished and I was very happy with my card.  I hope you find it as pretty as I did!
