Miss Kate Cuttable's Guest Designer Post

Hello Scrapping for Tranquility Fans!  I have the honor of being Miss Kate Cuttable's Guest Designer  this month so I have a fun , fall card to share with you!

I am going to hop right to it!  The files I used from Miss Kate's is Autumn TreeFall Memories and Raking Leaves.  This is what I came up with :

I made a triangle tri-fold card.  If you never heard of it you will see here in a second how it works.  I used the raking leaves file on the front triangle along with half of the Autumn tree file.  I cut the Autumn Tree in half using the Sure cuts 4 program on my cameo.

Here is the front first fold with the title using the file Fall Memories.

Then folding down it opens to a double card where I put the Autumn Tree and added a tire swing from my cutting file stash , A Perfect Day To Play, also from Miss Kate's Cuttable's. If you click on the picture you can read the beautiful fall poem I found on the internet and then made it into a  Thankful for you card.

I hope you enjoyed my Guest DT post and will leave me a comment to let me know what you think.  I would love for you to become a follower  and stick around and enjoy my other projects and contests .

Blessings,

Gorilla Card

Happy Friday Scrappy For Tranquility Fans! I am dropping in to share a card I made using an adorable file from Cuddly Cute Designs.  Instead of telling you I am going to show you!

It is called the Snuggle Palz Gorilla.
Isn't he just adorable???  I just love him!    Here is what I made with him!

I would love to take credit for this great layout for this card but I actually got the sketch for it from Paper Play Sketches.  Here was the sketch:

As soon as I seen the sketch I knew I had to use this adorable guy and enter him in this challenge.
To top the card off I had this sentiment from W9 Design Studio called Party Animal that I knew would fit perfect with him.  What do you think?

I used Close To my Heart Silver Pearl Embossing Powder to emboss the title and really loved how it made it pop.  Then for bling I added 3 little enamel dots from Simple Stories and called it done.

All in all I am really happy how it came out.

Thank you for joining me and leave me a message and let me know what YOU think about this cute little guy and the card.

I appreciate you stopping by and make sure to follow me I will follow back !

Blessings,

Clifty Falls Layout

Hello Scrapping For Tranquility Fans!  Sorry it has been a while. My computer crashed and I had to save a bit to shell out the money for a new one.  (new to me, Refurbished one to anyone else.  LOL)

I want to share a layout of our small vacation we took last year to Clifty Falls State Park, here in Indiana.  We are in Northern Indiana and Clifty Falls is at the very bottom, west next to Kentucky and Ohio.  It is a VERY beautiful part of the state.

What made me decide to do this layout is I found this wonderful sketch on Let's Scrap sketch challenges and couldn't pass it up and thought I would not only scrap my wonderful photos but enter it into the contest.  Here is the sketch:

Of course I have tons of photos from the trip so first I had to decide which photos I wanted to use and from what part of the trip.  Once that was done I wanted to choose the card stock to use.    First let me show you my completed layout:

For all my solid textured card stock I always use AC Textured Card stock.  That is my go to card stock.  Then I had to choose what would go nicely with my photos in a print.  I found this beautiful plaid left over from an  Echo Park Paper Kit  called This & That.  I loved that kit and I just had remnants left and thought it would go great with this layout.  (Echo Park is my favorite Kit company also!)

I made my border, signs, and title on my cameo and that is about it.

I hope you enjoyed my layout and stop by Let's Scrap and check out their challenges!

Blessings!

Snow Globe-Cutting Cafe August 8th Post

Good Morning SFT and Cutting Cafe Fans!  I want to share a "Christmas in August" project I have for you!

Regina , the owner of The Cutting Cafe, wanted us to make a Christmas project, since we only post twice a month and missed "Christmas in July".

Here is what I chose:

This card you can purchase a lone or in a set of 9 other shaped Shakers for $6.50!  What a deal!

For my sentiment I used a sentiment from the Snowman Family Shaped Card.
I thought it fit just perfect with the "snow" theme.

How I made this card is, I used AC cardstock for my base,  Then used printed cardstock from DCWV Winter Stack.  I wanted this to glisten a lot like snow so I used a lightly, covered, white , glitter cardstock for the inside of the globe.  For the frame I used a VERY shimmery silver from DVWV's Halloween Cardstock .

For my shaker, I used some different shades of blue sequence set I had in my stash.  Then added sterling silver micro beads by Martha Stewart and Silver Spark Tinsel by American Crafts .  I mixed the 3 together and I really love the way  it turned out.  The little lines on my glode is the tinsels pieces .

To top it off, I used some Blue Berry Trendy Twine.
I just dont feel a project is complete without my Trendy Twine!

Thank you for joining me today at Scrapping For Tranquility.

Until the next time,

Blessings,

Christi

Lestat's First Birthday

Hello Scrapping For Tranquility Fans!  I want to share with you my youngest grandson, Lestat's first birthday pictures.  He was soooo excited to dig into his smash cake!  We are sooo glad we had a professional photographer there to record these memories!
I knew I wanted to scrap these photos but not sure how .   I wanted to show the progression of the way she took the pictures but again, I didn't know how.  THEN,  I came across a challenge at Let's Scrap

This week's sketch seem to be perfect for what I needed.  Here is the sketch:

Here is my take on the sketch :

If you start in the top left going down working right then top left on the right page working right then down to bottom row to right and ending in the middle.

I didnt want to add a lot of embellishments because I wanted the photos to speak for themselves.  Along with the paint splatter paper and the the loopy border I cut on my cameo, the flag banner, I felt that was enough.  I am really pleased the way it came out.

The worst part was the white background on the pictures and trying to photograph this layout.  It was not an easy layout to get a good picture of , at least for me.  LOL

This was my first Let's Scrap Challenge but I am POSITIVE it wont be my last.  I truly LOVED it and love their sketches!  I hope you all will join me the next time!  I have found I have used a few of their sketches I have found on the net already and didnt know it was thiers!

Thank you for joining me and I hope you all find some Tranquility in your Scrapping Soon!

Blessings,

Mr. & Mrs. Cutting Cafe Post

Hello Scrapping For Tranquility and Cutting Cafe Fans!  Yes, It is that time of the month for my Cutting Cafe blog post.  I took a month off, if you wonder where I have been but, I am getting back into the swing of things.

For this month we used the file Fun With Silhouettes.  It is such a fun file with soooo many silhouettes to choose from.  I chose the King and Queen Crowns and here is what I made:

I started with light grey AC Cardstock for my base and sized it to an A2 card size.  I then used Black AC Cardstock Just a 1/8 of an inch under the A2 size to frame this pretty pattern paper I had in my stash.  I cut out my Crowns on my Cameo along with my Mr. and Mrs. Title.  Glued them on my card.  To finish I topped them with the shiney rhinestones.  I called it finished.

Simple sometimes is more elegant to me than blinged all out.

I hope you enjoy my Cutting Cafe project and I will see you again on August 7th!

Blessings,

Victorine Originals Landlubbers Challenge

Good Morning Scrapping For Tranquility and Victorine Originals Fans!  Today I want to share with you our new challenge starting today , July 7th.  It will run for 2 weeks.

It is called Landlubbers and here is the inspiration board:

You can choose to use the Challenge theme name, the color inspiration, the picture inspiration or if you really want a challenge, you can use all of it together.

Of Course we would love for you to use Victorine Originals Stamps but is not required.

Here is what I came up with:

I made a birth announcement for a boy using the Pirate Kid stamp and the Ahoy! stamp from Victorine Originals.  I think these stamps are just the bomb!  Soooo easy to use and just ADORABLE!

Of Course I used AC Card stock for my card stock and cut out my shape on my Cameo 3.  Colored in my image with Copics  and Used Memento Black Tuxedo to stamp my images.

I hope you enjoyed my project and you will scoot on over to Victorine Originals Challenge Blog and link up!  Hope to see you soon!

Blessings,
